How To Avoid Detention So You Won’t Miss Your Curfew

I know that sometimes it’s really a pain in the ass to follow rules at school. It’s boring to just sit around in the classroom and to listen to long boring lectures of teachers. However, isn’t that the purpose of going to school? You have to sit and listen to boring classes so that you can learn and eventually get a nice paying job.

Although, I would also agree that you need to have a little bit of fun from time to time. You are in your youth so you need to enjoy life. Keep in mind though that you still have to watch your behavior while having some fun at school. You don’t want to end up in detention and miss your curfew.

Think Before You Act

Teens like you tend to be always on the go. Sometimes, you forget that there are rules and you have to slow down in jumping into actions. If you want to keep your allowance and your concert tickets, you have to think before you act so you won’t get in trouble. Assess first the situation if it is worth doing the actions without getting into trouble. You are already a teen. Hence, you have to develop responsibility.

Avoid Physical Conflicts

Getting into a brawl is definitely not the answer to resolve a conflict. Remember that a pen is mightier than the sword. Or should I say that communicating is more effective than punching? It is understandable that sometimes, it is really hard for you to control your temper. But as a responsible teenager, you have to be responsible for your actions. You can’t just throw in a punch and expect that you would get away from it.

Try To Be On The Good Side Of Your Teachers

This may be a lame advice for you. However, come to think of it as hitting two birds with one stone. If you are in good terms with your teachers, then, most probably, you won’t get into detention. There’s also a possibility that your teachers may favor you and give you the grades that you deserve. You can even ask for recommendation letters to them once you are almost ready for college. Being nice to your teachers does not take off your coolness. You are just adhering to the principles of becoming a good student.

Follow The School Rules

This is practically the easiest and simplest way you can do to avoid getting into detention. You still can have fun without breaking the rules. Surround yourself with good peers and you will notice that you don’t have to do anything crazy just to have some fun.

There you go. Make sure to follow these tips to avoid getting into detention. Remember that it is not worth losing all your privileges and free time for a petty act trying to have some fun.
